Włókniak. Zwracaj uwagę na zmiany…

Chciałam podzielić się historią jaka ostatnio mi się przydarzyła. Otóż jakieś 2 miesiące temu zauważyłam nowe „coś” na śluzówce policzka. Coś nie bolało, ale przeszkadzało i powodowało niepokój. W pierwszej kolejności zaczęłam stosować różne dezaftany, przyznaję ze znikomą regularnością.

Jednak po 3 tygodniach nowy lokator zadomawiał się coraz bardziej. Poszłam już z konkretnymi obawami do lekarza pierwszego kontaktu skąd wyszłam z receptą na lek, który okazało się jest nieosiągalny w żadnej aptece czy hurtowni.

Czy jest na sali lekarz?

Zaniepokojona postanowiłam zadzwonić do swojego dentysty i po opisaniu sytuacji usłyszałam, że lepiej od razu skierować się do chirurga stomatologii. Sprawa nabierała coraz większych emocji, ale zaraz po świętach umówiłam się na wizytę.

Lekarka dokładnie obejrzała zmianę, przeprowadziła szczegółowy wywiad i zaleciła wycięcie oraz wysłanie do badania histopatologicznego. Po zejściu z fotela miałam jeszcze sprawdzone węzły chłonne.

Wycinanka

Umówiłam się na zabieg za tydzień. Lekko zdenerwowana całą sytuacją przyszłam na umówioną godzinę. Wszystko przebiegło bardzo sprawnie i bez bólu. Potem stresujące oczekiwanie na wynik.

Po 3 tygodniach otrzymałam telefon, że mam przyjechać…..

Emocje sięgnęły zenitu. Chyba każdy wie co oznacza taka wiadomość.

Kiedy lekarka poinformowała mnie, że to tylko włókniak dosłownie osunęłam się na krześle. Ulga niesamowita, ale też pretensje czemu mnie nie uprzedzono. Przynajmniej nie jechałabym z duszą na ramieniu. W odpowiedzi usłyszałam, że recepcjonistkom nie wolno udzielać takich informacji.

Czemu o tym piszę?

Po pierwsze moja historia jest przykładem, że nie zawsze musi być źle i nie warto tworzyć scenariuszy.

Po drugie ważne, aby reagować na zmiany od razu. Nie czekać, bo może samo zniknie albo udawać, że tego nie ma. Szybsza reakcja nawet w przypadku najgorszego werdyktu to większa szansa na wprowadzenie celowanej terapii.
